Day of the Leaves: tea & trees

Autumn is here ladies and gentlemen! Okay it may have been here for awhile but I cannot stress enough how much I'm loving the leaves changing with the coming Autumn! By far my favorite of Autumn or fall whichever you perfer.

My birthday just past on the 4th this month! Birthdays are so exciting and fun, it's nice to have a day about you, where people go out of their way to make your day great! I'm incredibly lucky to have all of my amazing friends and Colten. This year apparently is the year to gift me tea? All of a sudden my tea collection has tripled in size. What used to consist of about 4 teas has now jumped up past 10! It's so crazy! I had to purchase a new steep for myself and, one as and appreciation gift for Colten, considering he totally stole my ManaTea tea steep, hopefully now I can swipe that bad boy back.

The weather has been extremely chilly lately but, it did seem to get cold pretty late in the year. Around the middle of October the weather went from being 80 degrees to 30 the nest day. Something I was totally unprepared for considering I only had two pairs of jeans to my name. My saving grace goes by the name Old Navy. I was blown away by this seasons collection! I wanted to buy everything(if only my wallet allowed that)! I picked up two pairs of jeans, two strippy dresses, and two cozy sweaters, also I grabbed a gold yellow VELVET shirt (I was in love). They also have all of the perfect fall colors with maroons, reds, browns, black, green, and my favorite of all-time color YELLOW!
My best friend, Makenna, and I journeyed to River View park in Hannibal, MO. The only park worth seeing in the small town. (You may only recognize Hannibal for the birthplace of the only author Hannibal ever talks about: Mark Twain)(Trust me its not cool). The park was looking beautiful and vivid so we decided to do some friend-tography! Featured in the pic up above I'm wearing one of my new Old Navy sweaters, Old Navy skinny jeans, and some brown boots. (Old Navy clothes are so comfortable) My only problem with this mini shoot was taking off my coat- it was sooooo cold!
One of my most favorite things to do with the falling of the leaves is to gather big piles of leaves and jump in them and throw them. It was too cold this day to make the big pile, but there were some big piles already gathered on the edge of this tiny trail(perfect!). I definitely threw my fair share of leaves into the air.  Also I have the best friend in the world to take these pictures for me! Who doesn't love an amazing friend! She's my girlfriend- don't tell Colten...
Have a Happy Autumn! From me to you *insert all of the yellow heart emoji*
